Can't sleep too excited to go. . .
We leave in two days. . . . and I am so excited to get our family together for the first time. I can't wait to see how Lucia has changed and to see the boys interact with her. I am thrilled to have everyone together. We have been packing maniacs around here. We leave at 6:00pm Monday night, fly to LAX than get on a plane at midnight and fly through the night to Guatemala. Pray we ALL sleep on that flight. We will get to the hotel by 8:30 the next morning. First eat breakfast then wait for the phone call in the room to go pick her up when our foster mother arrives. Our agency always has an interpreter there that oversees all of the foster mothers. She helps to communicate Lucia's schedule and what and when she is eating. She will also take pictures so we can focus on Lucia. Waiting in the room for the phone call I go crazy. Please pray that none of us get sick in Guatemala. We will be there until Friday then are heading back to LA. Since we had to fly in and out of LA we decided what a perfect opportunity to hit Disneyland and the Beach Saturday and Sunday. We surprised the boys on their birthday with the news. We will post pictures the entire time we are there. It is so much fun to hear from you when we are in Guatemala.

No News is Good news
Here is the latest news for the McMurrays!
1. Lucia's Christmas dress is ordered. I know this might not seem big, but I have been looking at Christmas dresses my whole life waiting to purchase one for my own daughter. It was a hard decision to find the perfect dress. I know you are all waiting on pins and needles to see it. . . .
I have let go of any hope that she will be home for Christmas to wear the dress in front of the McMurray family Christmas tree. Instead, I am going to give it to her Foster mom and ask her to take pictures of Lucia's first Christmas. If a miracle happened and we got out of PGN in the next couple of weeks. . . just maybe she could be home. . . keep praying!
2. No News is Good News - we do not want to hear from our agency until we get that glorious phone call that we are out of PGN and she is officially our daughter. We are currently 5 weeks 4 days into our stay in PGN. The earliest I have seen any babies getting out is 7 weeks 2 days. Keep praying!
3. WE LEAVE IN EXACTLY ONE WEEK TO SEE LUCIA! - We're taking the boys and spending Thanksgiving with her in Guatemala City. I am so excited to see the boys faces when they first meet her and hold her. I have been dreaming of the first time they make her smile and laugh. I hope she loves them and is not horrified by them.... like I am sometimes:) I can't wait to take pictures of all our children together. We are flying out next Monday night, and Lucia will be in our arms Tuesday morning at 10:00 am. I won't bore you with how many hours until the moment she is in our arms. Wouldn't it be awesome to find out she was out of PGN before we left or when we are with her. Pray for a smooth trip with twin boys!
Thanks for checking in with us on this crazy journey of adoption. I know with all my heart we were called to this, and the second I saw Lucia's picture I loved her so much. The moment they put her in my arms it was not any different than the moment they handed me Keagan and Kinkade in the hospital.

Happy 4-month Birthday today!!! - more foster mom pics
More pictures from Lucia's life with her foster family. She looks so happy.
Sleeping with her family book and voice recorder.

I miss you so much today. You are 4 months old and I would love to celebrate with you. Some days it is so hard to be away from you and watch you grow through pictures. I hope you had a wonderful day laughing, cuddling, and sleeping. I wonder how much you weigh now?
I cannot wait until we get that phone call that you are a officially our daughter. I day dream about the plane ride home and flying into Spokane with you on our lap. I cannot wait for you to meet our friends and family. There are so many people praying for you. You will capture their hearts just like you have captured ours. We are coming to see you three weeks from tomorrow.
I love you so much.
Love,
Mom
