Lucia loves her puff ball boots. She says every morning "boots, boots, boots please!"
First love note to Keagan. To Keagan. . I love you. . .go out to Red Robin. . .Zoe
Oh boy we are in for it.
Lucia, fish crackers and the tree! You should see the pictures where I tried to take away the crackers. Not cute!
Keagan wants to play the piano all the time. I can't believe how brave he was to let naked Lucia on to his lap.

Christmas Tree Cutting, Thanksgiving and YES another set of Pigtails

Cutting down the Christmas tree!
The annual saw picture.
On the way home.
It was not snowing when we started the trip. But by the time we got home the first snow had arrived and the boys built a snowman.
Riding in the tractor.
It was so fun this year the boys are the perfect age they loved every part of decorating for Christmas!

Mom's Date Day with the Boys! We went to HS Musical on Ice!
Lucia feeding Grammy Pumpkin Pie.
The best part of the meal for Lucia.
Thanksgiving on Dad's lap. . . of course Grammy made me a special Thanksgiving Dress.
The table all set.

YES we are having a baby girl! We are thrilled Lucia will have a sister close in age just like the boys have. We cannot believe it is a girl we had the ultra-sound technician check three times. I did not think we made girls, well I did not think we made babies on our own. The story goes like this 11 years without birth control, two pregnancies ending in miscarriages, and a doctor's diagnosis that we have a very slight chance of ever conceiving. It is our 11th anniversary and 2am in the morning and I have this weird feeling. . . so I take a pregnancy test. I could not believe my eyes! I wake up Aaron and we are SCARED! We have had a 0% Success rate with pregnancy on our own. We are OVERWHELMED! Four kids was not part of our plan, the only time it came up was through adoption if it fell in our lap. In fact we just had talked about "the surgery" to make sure we would never have to go through another miscarriage. We kept it to ourselves for many weeks until the lying and sweating had to stop and we finally felt like we had to tell people. I could not keep wearing huge hoodies and big coats I was so hot that I was sweating like men's basketball. . . like gross arm sweat. We have had 4 ultrasounds and everything looks great. God has a Great sense of humor and has a better plan for our life than we could ever imagine. Each journey to each child. . . . the twins, Lucia and this baby girl has put us on our knees daily to trust His plan. They have all had been filled with Adventure, Fear, Faithfulness, and ultimately a blessed child or two. Our journey to build a family has been painful, hard, but yet I would not change one single part of it. It has brought a depth to our marriage and Faith that we could have never imagined. If you think of us pray for this baby girl growing inside of me. . . I think she might be a miracle baby!

Expecting the Unexpected!

Mmmmmmmmm. .. . . . . . we are the "proud" owners of a 98 Dodge Caravan now! Why you ask because our new family will not fit in our old Rodeo. 6 people!

So, I eat at least 3 apples a day. Why you ask . . . . because I have a BABY in my tummy and all I want to eat is Apples. Yes, we are shocked, overwhelmed, getting excited, and trying not to be guarded. I am 19 weeks. We had an ultrasound last Tuesday and found out the sex and that the baby is healthy. I will post ultrasound pics of the baby, share the gender, the story, and my BELLY soon. Happy Thanksgiving!

We are thankful

Here we are last Thanksgiving the whole family in Guatemala visiting Lucia. This was the first time the boys met Lucia, and our first picture as a family. We all looked through the pictures of the trip this morning. It was the most wonderful time. . . blessed in every way. It goes down as my favorite vacation of all time. We have started a savings account to go back to Guatemala for Thanksgiving. I will have to do another post of some of my favorite pics of the trip. Keagan's first glance of Lucia. I just adore her Foster Mommy Debora we have kept in contact all year through e-mail and a couple phone calls. He was so struck by her and still says almost every day how cute she is.
I asked the family what they are most thankful for this Thanksgiving 2008. . . .

Kinkade - my family, animals, my president, sports, all the fun we have in our family

Keagan - new basketball team, my sister climbs on me, my family, going to school, learning how to read

Lucia - tic tacs, water, mama, daddy, kittys, hot tub, babies, balls, books, all animal sounds,
these are all the words lucia says everyday in order from the most heard! Yes I believe Lucia is most thankful for Tic Tacs. . . she loves them and asks for them all day.

Mama - My family, My faith, Christmas time, good health, our warm home, Chai lattes, long lasting friendships, our church, our baby girl is home with us this Thanksgiving, Janny and Ryan coming home!

Daddy - Gonzaga Basketball, New job at Whitworth University, my cute wife, my hilarious kids who fill our house with chaos . . laughter. . .and fun

The Boys turned 6!

The boys had an amazing Birthday! We had the party at the YMCA with rock climbing, basketball, swimming and of course pizza and cake. They could barley control their excitement!

They got full Seahawks uniforms and of course had to wear them to their party.

It was hysterical watching Lucia chase the kids in the pool. She loves the water!
Keagan and Daddy down the slide!

Two of my favorite people in the world. Thanks KayC. and Colleen for staying and chatting! It made my day!
Josh and Lucia's boyfriend Owen .

Miss Lucia enjoying the party.
The climbing wall was once again a hit.
Snuggling with Daddy in the pool.
I thought I was being mom of the year and honoring the boys individualism by each year making sure we had two separate fancy cakes that each one chose a theme for. Well this year months before their B-day they say to me one day at Breakfast, "Mom, why do we always have to have two cakes that are so fancy?"
"We want one Star Wars cake that is big and flat from like Albertsons or Costco."
DONE! What do I know about raising twins?????????????

Halloween 2008

Lucia was a Ladybug for her Kindermusik party! The cutest little bug I have ever seen!

Yes, somehow this year the whole family was roped into being Star Wars characters!!!!

Grampy is Big Bird every year. . . the boys were scared at this age . . . Lucia is not scared of anything.
Here is the tiniest Princess Leah you have ever seen. She got so much attention. The boys picked out her costume and LOVED that she was Star Wars too.

Grammy had been keeping it a secret what her costume was. We opened the door and there was YODA!
Trick or Treating at Grampy and Grammy's house.

It was a full day filled with lots of parties and fun! Dad and Mom were exhausted by the end and gearing up for the big Birthday the next day! Pictures for K&K birthday coming soon! It always feels like the Grand Finale of the Fall around here after Halloween and Birthday!
